United by their love for the delicious, chewy tapioca pearls and the rich, creamy teas that defined their childhoods, they were on a mission to create a unique boba experience that would bring people together.​ The founders, who called themselves the "Boba Tribe," were a diverse group, hailing from Taiwan, the birthplace of boba; Malaysia, the land of teh tarik; and the United States, the home of innovative fusion cuisine. Each brought their own unique flavors and ideas, inspired by their cultural backgrounds and experiences. Through countless late-night conversations and tea tastings, the Boba Tribe discovered that the key to their shared vision lay in the concept of authenticity. The members believed that only by embracing the true flavors and techniques of their native lands could they create a boba experience that would truly resonate with people from all walks of life. And so, the Boba Tribe embarked on a journey to source the finest ingredients and perfect their tea brewing techniques. They sought out the best tea leaves from the lush, green tea fields of Taiwan, Japan, and China. They experimented with innovative blends, combining flavors and techniques from their respective cultures. The result was a unique fusion of traditional and modern tastes, with a touch of whimsy and excitement. In order to create an atmosphere that reflected their vision, the Boba Tribe designed their store as a cozy, welcoming oasis where people could gather, connect, and share their love for boba.
